So take a look at Premier League nominees;

7. Sadio Mane- Liverpool

Liverpool is a happy camp at the moment. Jurgen Klopp will certainly be happy to know that he is doing something right at the club despite lack of trophies. He will use Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho Ballon d’Or nomination as a motivator to the rest of the squad. The hardworking Senegalese will be very proud of his work at Anfield since he arrived from Southampton.

6. Kevin De Bruyne- Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will be happy to see at least one player nominated for the coveted award. Etihad would have expected Sergio Aguero to make the list but instead Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is the man who makes the list. He has been sensational for the Citizens since he arrived from Wolfsburg. We all saw him score the winner to silence Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

5. Philippe Coutinho- Liverpool

Liverpool has two nominees in the top 30 Ballon d’Or list of 2017. Playmaker Philippe Coutinho is one of them and he deserves to be on the list. Barcelona wanted to sign him all summer but Jurgen Klopp told them he is not for sale at any price. He has been scoring crucial goals for the Reds since his return.

4. David de Gea- Manchester United

Manchester United number one goalkeeper David De Gea has finally been recognized by France Football team. Red Devils fans will question the emission of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba in the list. Now he is in the coveted list together with Juventus veteran Gianluigi Buffon and Atletico Madrid shot-stopper Jan Oblak.

3. Eden Hazard- Chelsea

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has been nominated for the most coveted individual award in Europe. The Belgian has been nominated before but he has never been close. The critics have told him to be more selfish with the ball to challenge Messi and Ronaldo, especially on goals scoring.

2. Harry Kane- Tottenham Hotspurs

Premier League reigning golden boot holder Harry Kane has made the cut in the race to lift the Ballon d’Or this year. He has been consistent in the last three seasons. Last year he scored a total of 29 goals in 30 appearances to beat Romelu Lukaku to the gong. He has netted 6 times in 7 matches so far this season. The 23-year-old English skipper might be able to challenge for the award in future.
