Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will fight in 2018, according to Eddie Hearn.
The Matchroom promoter also revealed that talks with Wilder’s team began on Thursday after Joshua went on a rampage on Twitter.
Joshua called out Tyson Fury, labeling him a fat ‘f***’ and also took aim at WBO champion Joseph Parker.
The outburst caused a stir among boxing fans and Hearn confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the heavyweight champion would look to unify the division against Wilder next year.
‘I was really interested to see the weight of Deontay Wilder on the scales [15st 7]. I texted that to Anthony,’ he told Sky Sports.
‘I shouldn’t really tell you the reply, but it was ‘I’ll eat him,’ and the size difference is huge. It’s two-and-a-half stone now between those two.
‘Of course Joshua has told me we want all the belts and that means taking on all the champions.
‘The gentleman over there sitting ringside, Tyson Fury, he’s in the plans for 2018 as well, Joseph Parker as well.
