Top 5 Chelsea News – Blues Forward Faces Punishment After His Instagram Post

REVEALED: Blues forward to miss Premier League game against Crystal Palace; while PSG set to launch £90m bid for Chelsea star. Claude Makelele heaps some warnings for Chelsea youngster; while Eden Hazard among Ballon d’Or nominees.

5. PSG to launch £90m bid for Chelsea star N’Golo Kante

PSG reportedly intend to continue their lavish spending by tabling a £90m offer for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante next summer.
The 26-year-old slotted immediately into Antonio Conte’s team when he moved to Stamford Bridge from Leicester City for around £30m in 2016.
PSG made Neymar the most expensive footballer in the world when they bought him from Barcelona for close to £200m. They are also set to secure the signing of Kylian Mbappe permanently at the end of the season for over £100m.
According to Le Parisien, the French giants are keen to strengthen the midfield with a player of Kante’s calibre. The Parisians are willing to spend big to get the Chelsea star.
The France international’s contract at the West London outfit does not expire until 2021.

4. Alvaro Morata to miss Premier League game against Crystal Palace

Chelsea will reportedly be without striker Alvaro Morata for Saturday’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace due to a hamstring injury.
The 24-year-old had initially hinted on social media that he would be back in action after the international break. But it seems that this weekend’s trip to Selhurst Park has come too soon.
According to The Express, Blues manager Antonio Conte hopes to recall him for next Wednesday’s Champions League game against Roma.
Morata suffered a Grade Two hamstring injury during Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City less than a fortnight ago.

3. Eden Hazard among Ballon d’Or nominees

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has been selected on the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or.
Throughout Monday, France Football has been drip-feeding the nominees for the prestigious individual award. The names are revealed in groups of five.
The sixth and final batch includes Blues playmaker Hazard, who helped Chelsea to win the Premier League title last season.
Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo – the favorite for the accolade – is also included after starring in the Spanish outfit’s La Liga and Champions League triumphs.
French youngster Kylian Mbappe – now at Paris Saint-Germain – is also recognized. The 18-year-old helped Monaco win Ligue 1 and reach the Champions League semi-finals.

2. Tammy Abraham must follow Didier Drogba’s example – Claude Makelele

Swansea City coach Claude Makelele has told Chelsea loanee, Tammy Abraham, to learn from the examples set by Didier Drogba, if he is to break into his parent club’s team.
Abraham signed a new five-year deal with Chelsea before going out on loan at Swansea, working with former Blues Makelele.
The 20-year-old scored 26 goals in all competitions last year during his season-long spell at Bristol City.
“He has great quality but he needs to work. He is young and has time on his side, he wants to be one of the best strikers in the Premier League, he gets an example in the way Drogba and Eto’o play. But to do that he must work like they did,” Makelele told the Evening Standard.
“Can he play for Chelsea? I hope so. He needs to be successful with Swansea first and learn more and more to come back and push for Antonio Conte’s team. It is going to be difficult. He needs to adapt very well but we will push him. He has to show the ambitions to reach the top.”
Abraham has scored three goals in nine appearances for the Swans.

1. Charly Musonda faces punishment after his Instagram post

Charly Musonda has risked possible punishment from Chelsea after hinting his frustration over a lack of progress at the club.
The 20-year-old has made just one appearance for the Blues – last month’s Carabao Cup victory over Nottingham Forest.
Musonda’s concerns have been evident for some time. In January 2016 he asked to leave due to a lack of first-team opportunities and eventually joined Real Betis on loan.
That temporary switch was extended into the 2016-17 season. But Musonda was recalled by manager Antonio Conte in January of this year after making just one solitary start.
Conte opted to keep Musonda despite interest from several clubs including Roma. However, Musonda, who has also struggled with injury during his time at the club, has been largely overlooked.
Alongside an image of a black screen, Musonda wrote on Instagram: “You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what’s expected, and often more than you can because you love what you do and clearly more than you should.”
“And what do you get back? Literally nothing,… done. However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game.”
