Twitter’s move to 280-character tweets hasn’t pleased everyone – but Manchester City fans certainly seemed to enjoy it.
Pep Guardiola’s side have plenty to be happy about at the moment given their eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
City comfortable beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Etihad on Sunday and watched on afterwards as neighbours Manchester United lost ground in the title race due to a 1-0 defeat against Chelsea.
But City were looking even further back on Twitter today and celebrated the social media website’s move to 280-character tweets by giving United a reminder of *that* goal from Sergio Aguero.
Aguero, of course, scored in the dying seconds of City’s final game of the 11/12 season to snatch the title away from United and win it for City.
Martin Tyler’s famous commentary followed and City couldn’t help but rub it in to neighbours United.
