Eden Hazard names Kevin De Bruyne as the Premier League’s best player

Eden Hazard admits Kevin De Bruyne is currently the best player in the Premier League.

The Belgian duo were teammates at Chelsea for a brief spell before De Bruyne was sold to Wolfsburg for £18million in January 2014.

De Bruyne eventually joined Manchester City and is thriving this season under Pep Guardiola with three goals and nine assists in 15 games so far.

The Belgian also scored the winning goal at Stamford Bridge to secure Manchester City’s victory over Chelsea in September.

‘Kevin is definitely the best player in the Premier League,’ said Hazard.

‘He plays with a good team but that’s also thanks to him that they play so well.

‘The Guardiola system has been written on its own.

‘He has been criticised when he has played for Belgium, but I do not always think that’s fair. He always carries out everything and does his best.

‘He’s an excellent player for our team.’
