Moyes, who has had spells at Everton, Manchester United and Sunderland, took over at West Ham earlier in the month after Slaven Bilic’s sacking.

His first game in charge of the Hammers – 2-0 defeat at Vicarage Road against Watford – was his 500th game in the Premier League, making him the fourth person to reach the milestone after Ferguson, Wenger and Redknapp.
West Ham lost six of their first 11 games of the 2016-17 season and Moyes was unable to turn the tide as Marco Silva’s Watford clinched a comfortable 2-0 win.
Speaking after the defeat, Moyes told Sky Sports: ‘I’m disappointed we didn’t do much better than that. We missed some really big chances.

‘The better team won the game but there was a chance to change the outcome. We’re going to have to improve, we’ll work with them and see what we can do.’
Asked whether he was capable of turning West Ham’s season around, Moyes added: ‘We’ve got to try that and find a way of winning. I believe we will do but we’ll have to play better than today.’
