Top 5 Chelsea News Today – Are The Blues Already CHAMPIONS?

Here are the biggest Chelsea news after the Premier League leaders were held to a 1-1 draw by a battling Burnley side at Turf Moor to go 10 points clear at the top.

5. SIX teams still in Premier League title race – Conte

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte says that the Premier League title race is not over after his side’s 1-1 draw at Burnley.
The Italian tactician believes any of six teams could still win the Premier League despite his Chelsea side sit 10 points clear at the summit.
‘’That’s normal. There are 13 games before the end,” said the Chelsea manager.
“If someone thinks this league is finished, I can tell you now, no.’’
“There are six teams for me that can win the league and anything can happen. ‘’
‘’We must continue to work in this way.’’
“I am happy for the commitment and the will to win. You can only take one point, but I am sure of the commitment.’’
“We have to think only of ourselves, not the other teams. It is important to play your game, to think about your game and then you think about the other results.”

4. It’s difficult for me at Chelsea – Atsu

Chelsea winger Christian Atsu reveals Antonio Conte talks
Newcastle winger Christian Atsu has indicated he is expecting to make a permanent move away from Chelsea in the summer.
The Ghana International is on a season-long loan at Championship leaders Newcastle – his fifth spell away from Stamford Bridge.
He has been in impressive form so far this season as Newcastle sit at top of the Championship table.
“It is difficult for me and Chelsea,” he told The Shields Gazette.
“You can see the kind of wingers they have. I have to keep working hard.’’

3. Conte avoids Mourinho mind games

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte insists he is too experienced to be drawn into a war of words with Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese tactician accused his former side of winning matches with defensive football after Manchester United’s 2-0 over Watford.
After seeing his Premier League title-chasers held to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor, Conte refused to be drawn when asked about Jose Mourinho’s comments.
“I don’t like to reply to the other coaches,” Conte insisted.
“I don’t like this joking. He’s playing. I have the experience to understand this.”
The Blues are now 10 points clear of nearest challengers Tottenham at the top of the table.
Chelsea have scored 52 goals so far this season while Manchester United have only managed 38.

2. N’Golo Kante Should Win PFA Player of the Year Award – Henry

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has admitted N’Golo Kante, not Eden Hazard or Diego Costa, should be named PFA Player of the Year.
The France International has helped Antonio Conte’s side to move 10 points clear in the title race.
“Eden Hazard and Diego Costa will be on the tip of a lot people’s pens but so too should N’Golo,” Henry told The Sun.
“It’s never usually his type of player who wins these awards.’’
“People pay to see Costa rattle them home or Hazard score goals like he did against Arsenal.’’
“Usually your Kante-type player goes relatively unnoticed.”
“But Kante is so special, you do notice him. It’s an art to sense danger, to tackle, to intercept.”
Kante has scored one goal, against Manchester United, in 26 appearances for the Blues this season in all competitions.

1. This Is Why Chelsea will win Premier League Title – Gus Poyet

Gus Poyet
Former Chelsea midfielder Gus Poyet has admitted no other team can stop his old club from winning Premier League title.
The West London club went on a winning streak of 13 from September to December in the Premier League.
“I thought they were one of the top three at the beginning of the season.’’ He told talkSPORT.
“After this great run they will (win it).
“I cannot see other teams having the consistency of winning five, six, seven, eight games in a row.
“I hope I’m wrong for the Premier League.
“But I hope I’m right for Chelsea.”
Chelsea moved up to ten points clear at the top of the Premier League with 13 games left to play after a battling 1-1 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday.
