Top 6 most SUCCESSFUL teams in English Football League Cup (EFL) in history

Manchester United overcame the hardworking Hull City side to reach English Football League Cup final with a 3-2 aggregate win despite losing 2-1 on the night.
Jose Mourinho lifted the trophy in 2014/15 season win Chelsea and he is a serial winner especially when he reaches the final. Wembley Stadium is used to his antics and Southampton might find his final tactics too hard to handle.
However, the Saints overcame a very good Liverpool side led by the amazing Jurgen Klopp over two legs and this will give them a much needed confidence against Jose Mourinho side in the final. It can therefore go either way over 90 minutes.
Now let us take a closer look at the winners of the famous English League Cup since it was started in 1960;

A total of eleven teams occupy the 6th place in the list, they have lifted the trophy once. A good number of them are no more in the Premier League but the history still stands.

Norwich City, Manchester City, Wolves, Arsenal and Birmingham City
Manchester City and Arsenal are in this category. The Citizens have lifted the trophy in recent years after they got new rich owners. For the Gunners, Arsene Wenger likes to play academy players in the competition and as a result they rarely go far.
