Manchester United have agreed to sell their winger Memphis Depay to French side Lyon for a fee that will rise to £21.6m.
Reports suggest that United and Lyon agreed on an initial fee £16m rising to £21.7m, with the add-ons including Lyon qualifying for the Champions League and Depay getting a new contract.
The 22-year-old has been informed by manager Jose Mourinho that he can leave Old Trafford this month, with a number of clubs including Paris Saint-Germain thought to be interested in his services.
- United have also agreed buy-back and sell-on clauses.
- Dapay joined United in a £31m move from PSV Eindhoven in May 2015, as the initial fee was about £25m.
- Netherlands forward Depay has scored seven goals in 53 appearances since joining United.
- This season Depay has made only eight appearances for United, including 20 minutes in the Premier League under Mourinho this season.
