A report in The Mirror earlier this week claimed that the Gunners were confident of luring the 43-year-old from the Westfalenstadion.
Tuchel revealed on Friday that he was unaware of the links, while Watzke has himself rubbished the report.
“It is a fact that nobody from Arsenal called us. We’re talking about completely fictional stuff here,” he is quoted as saying by The Sun.
“Some day in May we will sit down and analyse this season. He is still under contract here for another year. That’s why I don’t understand all the speculation.”
2. Chamberlain: “Win over Bayern Munich will send out message”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has targeted victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday night to prove Arsenal’s doubters wrong.
Arsenal have failed to make it beyond the last-16 stage of the competition in each of the past six seasons. However, Chamberlain is confident that his side will revenge on Tuesday night.
They have also suffered defeat to the Bundesliga champions in four of their last six meetings – including a 5-1 thrashing at the Allianz Arena last season.
As quoted by Goal.com, Chamberlain said: “You don’t look into history too much. It is just two games against a very good side. But we are also a very good side. We have to make sure we play well on the day because we are going to have to if we are going to beat Bayern Munich. It is as simple as that.”
“If you’re going to win the Champions League you are going to have to beat Bayern Munich. We have had a lot of experiences against them in the competition. It is a massive opportunity for us to go far in the Champions League. We know that we can change some of the negative feelings around because of what’s going on in the Premier League at the moment.”
1. Arsenal in race to sign Brazilian defender Fabinho

His father, Joao, told J+1: “We have been in talks with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and approached by Barcelona.”
“We like Manchester United and [Jose] Mourinho’s work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City,” the father added.
